Il Film Metallico Stabilizzato MELF resistor (serie SM) presenta una potenza nominale che varia da 0,25W a 0,5W, con resistenze che vanno da 0,51 ohm a 10M ohm e tolleranza della resistenza da ±1% a ±5%. Vanta una capacità anti-sovraccarico, rendendolo adatto per un uso a lungo termine. Con una struttura abilitata SMD, offre un'eccellente saldabilità e una migliore dissipazione del calore rispetto ai resistori a chip, oltre a una struttura meccanica più robusta per resistere a vibrazioni e shock termici.
