Surge Safety Resistors 0.5W 10Kohm 5% is a through hole resistor, design for any anti-surge application such as Industrial Automation (IA),wired communication, medical, automotive, power supply industry and so on.The maximum permissible surge voltage is the squire root of 6,000 times P*R which is higher than other brand of surge resistor.

Features

Metal Oxide Film Fixed Resistor-MO
Metal Oxide Film Fixed Resistor (MO) features a power rating from 0.5W to 7W and a resistance range from 0.1 ohm to 220K ohm. The standard tolerance is set at ±5% only, with a TCR of ±300PPM/℃. When compared with a metal film resistor, MO can support higher power requirements and withstand large pulse loads in high ambient temperatures while maintaining long-term stability. It is flameproof with multi-layer coating equivalent to UL 94 V-0 and is solvent resistant.

The enhanced weld spot is not broken by surge impact, and the alloy wire can absorb harmful surge energy, making it suitable for high surge applications such as rush current protection of power capacitors, motor start-up protection, car & motorcycle engine ignition, thereby preventing the hazard of circuit damage caused by surge energy.
Surge Resistant MELF Resistor-SRM
The Surge Resistant MELF Resistor features a power rating from 0.25W to 3W, with a resistance range from 0.1Ω to 2.2MΩ. It has the advantages of tight tolerance compared to other branded wire wound resistors, with ±1%~±5% tolerances, and maximum permissible surge voltage up to 10KV. It is equipped with higher levels of performance regarding inrush current or surge damage from the environment. It is AEC-Q200 certified and anti-sulfur. It has an SMD structure and the sizes are the same as flat chip resistors. It has been tested and certified according to DIN EN IEC 62368-1 (VDE 0868-1):2021-05 Anhang/Annex G.10; EN IEC 62368-1:2020+A11:2020 Anhang/Annex G.10 (except SRM204 type) with VDE license number 40043961 and VDE license number 40054118.
