The Pulse Protective Resistor (PPR series) features a power rating from 0.25W to 2W, with a resistance range from 2.2 ohm to 4.7M ohm. It does not experience "sintering effect" caused by a high surge that greatly decreases resistance value, and it has a conformal multi-layer non-flammable coating. This offers better performance in every aspect than a carbon composition resistor. Thus, it could be an alternative to carbon composition resistors such as KOA/HPC.
